Break-even is a floor, not a goal.

The break-even item price is the first cent price where contribution profit is at least zero. Buyer shipping and gift-wrap charges help cover costs, but also create percentage fees. Free shipping is modeled by setting buyer shipping to zero while keeping postage in your costs.

Find the smallest supported item price where revenue − modeled fees − all entered order costs ≥ $0.00.

Set Other costs to include the per-order share of monthly software, equipment or taxes on seller services if those need to be covered. If you leave overhead out, the break-even price will not cover it. This is not an income-tax calculator. Reverse pricing requires combined percentage fees below 99% and a price within the supported $1,000,000 limit.
